I have a 2000 eclipse. In general I would stay away from Mitsubishi, their build quality sucks. Lots of small annoyances that I have to deal with.

How about an RSX? Celica?

To add my .02 Teh prelude is the best bet, someone mentioned that they had one with 100K miles and still ran good, i sold my buddy a 88, when i sold it to him it ran great with 225K he just rolled 300K and finally had the timing chain done, the biggest problem with these cars is rust, you have to be religous about washing, i had one drove it for 2500 miles over 3-4 months didnt have any rust, i am horrible about washing my car and it had good size holes in front of the rear tires. the DSM's are definately a good car, but you need to watch the belt though, about a month ago i was looking at a 99 spyder, but ended up getting "Mis-informed" by my bank guy and couldnt get it...
