Uh... Nope. I guess what you meant was that the referred oil pump was from an earlier car. You can't get much later a 944 model than mine... a '91 S2 coupe.

Ahh. Gotcha. You're saying the boss on the new pump is too tall and interfering with the auto tensioner?

Something is wrong I have a 104.9R on my 91 S2 engine and it fits properly. Perhaps your tensioner was modified or something. I have a spare oil pump here if you want me to measure or something but I think the new one you have it correct from the picture.

Post a picture of the fit issue if you can

Hmmm... it's pretty clear that Porsche had ADD when it came to assembling our cars... at least when selecting the tensioners and oil pumps.
