At 140K, How durable is the 944 Engine?

i've got 225k on the original engine . . . .pulls fine, doesn't burn oil . . . .but the compression in the #1 cylinder has started to drop, so a rebuild is on the horizon, but i doubt I'll do it before it hits 275k . . . . unlike wade B, though, i did have to change my clutch at 150k . . .
