Default Got Gas smell?

Got a gas smell when you windows are open. Well it is probably the vapor recovery lines in the back of the car. If you remove the carpet you see the gas filler neck cover. Remove the cover and there will probably be two sections of the line around a valve. Replace all this fiber covered line with new gas line and the gas smell. This is the line where it attaches to the hard line under the back of the car.

Thanks for the tip! Did you find that your vapor recovery line was brittle and cracking or did it just not have a good deal against the metal line?

The line was old and breathing out the vapors.

Makes sense as to why you'd smell gas then. I think its a good place to check when doing preventative maintenance or when you smell gas and have no leak.
