Default I have finally tallied my repair bills

Since I have been having all of these misfourtunes with my car I am currious to see how much I have spent in the past 2 years repair wise. Get ready guys because this is not a pretty number.................................................................. ........................................................................ $10.322,98

Obviously I havn't been able to include all the repairs, however this figure represents all the recipts I could find; but whoa, thats alot of money for a 3 grand car.

Look at it this way:

"You have a Porsche?? Cool! How much did it cost?"
"13,000."
"Wow! Where can you get a Porsche so cheap??"

It adds up quick, doesn't it. I usually don't include cost of tools I always have to buy for each job on the car. That would make it just too scary.

I'll trade my debt for yours!

It does add up very quick. I spent over $300 in nuts, bolts, and various parts and peices from my local hardware store. Look at it this way... you could not get the car you really want for the $13k you spent in total.

Think of it this way: Some people have cars they don't spend money on a hobbies they do. You have two things wrapped up in one package.

It doesn't look so bad when you consider it a hobby too.........

My wife didn't buy it either!

THREE WORDS:

DON'T DO THAT!!

you don't ever want to know how much you've spent, it can only depress you. ( but the joy the car brings from driving it is well worth the money). I mean, hey, my 84 cost over $12000 in bills!

I only have a rough running estimate of mine. Bas as I may think mine might be, I'd hate to have to pay Brian's! (though I wouldn't mind the car )

Heh, i used to get people all the time asking about my car...one of the most common questions was

"How much did you get it for?"

"$3000"

"wow thats really cheap, where did you find a Porsche for that low of a price?"

"Ive put over $2000 in repairs and parts already"

"oh.."

LOL, I started with a $2000 car, my budget was 6-8 months and $3800. Right now, I've just passed $15K and 2 years, still going too. Some people spend more than that in half the time on their hobby or past time. Like a vacation or whatever, when I'm done, I'll have a nice toy to keep me buisy driving it or I'll be able to sell it for more than a stupid T-shirt and bug bites that I would have gotten from a vacation. To each their own.
