Hey I paid $ 3,700 a year ago, total is about $ 1,200 into it. Not to bad. She's not 100% but for a daily driver with 30k + miles in a year isn't all that bad. For a 20 year old car anyways.

Keith said "...just put all the reciepts in a box, close it, and don't ever, ever, ever...total them up."

I've listened to him so far, but now I'm curious.

Thanks a lot guys....$1500 purchase in Dec 02 $1100+ in parts! Not including tow truck bills...hey still not bad (where's the wood in need to knock on)

When I bought my 931, totaled up the PO's bills.... $27,000, no kidding. It was on it's 4th turbo w/ only a little over 100K miles. I only put in a clutch slave cylinder and a shifter boot in the two years I owned it.

adding up all my P.O.'s reciepts puts me in well over $100k (he has a lot of reciepts).

My receipts for the last year are roughly $10k, but I've easily raised the value of my car $3k (so you can only count $7k or that, right?). Since that includes the purchase price, I've got an awesome, well-maintained, great running car for $7k, not too bad if you ask me.

Man, if I read this post before I bought my 944... you people are scary!!! I've got less than 1500 total, including a belt change (labor out the wazoo), and all my parts for the last 3 years!!!
Plus I'm just shy of 177,000 miles, and I drive the hell out of it (maybe it enjoys this?) hehe...
