when i took the oil cooler housing off, i left the relief valve in it. can i just put the housing back on with the relief valve in it and completely forget about an alignment tool?

What I did when I replaced the housing was use the PRV itself to align the housing. I found that the tool was useless, it was too small and the PRV actually bound up in the housing when installing. I used the PRV itself and all worked great.

if you have room, unscrew that bolt that holds the prv spring in and instal the housing then just screw the bolt back in
