Front Speakers (again)

I think I might have found the perfect candidate. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_068R463...3N.html?tp=100
Doesn't appear to have any protrusion and mounting depth is only 1.3". Only downside is that they are a bit more expensive than other comparable speakers.

Also the cost is up there (which is fair enough, it's a niche speaker for classic cars), but when I have to ship to Canada, customs etc., it ends it for me.
Good call though, and good to have as an option for when this thread is searched in the future...

Update!
I got the GTx 462 DE today.
Tried them with the supplied grills... ew. Not recommended. Looks totally out of place.
I was about to take them out and return them when I thought I'd try the factory grills...
Despite the tweeter coming out about 3mm from the rest of the speaker - they actually fit! It's a tight squeeze and they do touch, but I cranked them up and there are no adverse effects.
So, for the record, these Blaupunkts are a direct replacement even if you have the shallow factory grills

I solved this problem by sourcing some 3/16" black ABS plastic sheet and making a spacer to fit between the factory grill and the speaker. You may need slightly longer screws, but it doesn't modify the factory look, and is essentially invisible when installed. I will try to post a picture tonight if I get a chance.

Another vote for the GTX 462 in an 86. Mine were "Mark II" and not DE but the mounting depth was the same (45mm) so maybe it's just a difference in colour (My grills were silver)
My alternative would have been Alpine SPS 406 (42mm?) but I found the GTx for cheap so that's the way I went. Being in Canada getting the Retrosound 4x6 (35mm) would have been too pricey.
Pics:
Previous owner put "regular" speakers in, see how deep they are compared to the 462s.
Installed with a bit of weather seal foam around the factory grill. With the flash its more obvious than in real life.
