One region or split?

Hmmm.......
Should I cast the "deciding vote" - as this poll is ALWAYS equally split..!!!
OK - the "Region" Forums would not replace this larger Forum - nor any other Forum - they would be a seperate Forum, linked on the menu above (next to "chat - sponsors - upload.. etc." where folks could place regional events, meetings, etc......
That help???
Best to all!!!!

I think the regional forums would be much more then just an events bulletin board. In addition to that it would be a great way to meet people in your surrounding area. I'm willing to bet that 80% of the posts are only made by 20% of the people who read here. With those kind of odds it's hard to really notice anyone new unless they make a "I'm a Newbie" or "Beer Drink'n at Moe's Lounge " post. I've manged to meet a Camaro and Supra driver in my area that I had encountered on the road by visiting the regional forums on LS1.com and Supraforums.com.
I say we break the U.S. regions up in a manner similar to the PCA zones.

From: A great big building in the woods, FL.
With these numbers looks like the Ref (John D.) might have to call this one. I just cant wait to get it up and running. The whole idea of a gatherings forum is a great one.

Ok...
I thought about this for a while. I do agree with Travis, that we should start out and see if it gets use and then go from there...
But on the other hand I find it highly improbably that it won't get use. I think breaking the US and other countries into 5 or so regions will at least be easier for those of us looking to do something fun with other Porsche people, when it comes to searching. If there was one events forum, and there were 3 events going on in all 10(?) or so Rennlist Regions, that would make for a lot of scrolling.
I like the idea of not having to go to page to, or not constantly having to BUMP up your post about an activity.
So, my vote was just cast for breaking it up into regions. I know John won't start slicing up Rennlist and I know these forums will forever remain, so folks don't worry about that as a drawback.
What the OT forum is to off topic threads, these regional forums will be to regional events.
Besides, I decided not to pay the forty some-odd dollars to be in the PCA this year (actually my savings account decided for me). Anyway, I still want to do fun things such as maybe an Oktoberfest for Rennlisters. The PCA Oktoberfest in my area is fun, but way too expensive.
Us poor folk need a place to go to have fun too!
Anyway, I suppose John could tie it up with a vote for one events forum now!
Also, if John could somehow tie the events forum into a calendar script, that would be amazing. Much like this page: www.uncdub.com
