Default What is Pword doing to his 944

Well, since I have a fixer upper, I decided to start a build thread for Trixxie.

Today, I pained the fuel tank shield black, traced the fuel leak to the hose between the fuel pump and filter. I tried making a hose, but, I still have a leak, possibly the fuel pump to, I have checked the hose I made, and it seems solid, so I don't know, never known a pump to leak. Any of you came across this? And I will post pics of my hose later on when I am back at my laptop. Next project, right cv shaft.

I have had two fuel pumps that leaked. Scared the crap out of me, seeing fuel dumping on the ground.

I have figured it out to def be the fuel pump. Took the pan off the bottom and watched it. Now I gotta wait till I can buy one, unless somebody has an extra to gve or trade. Lol.

Check and make sure the banjo bolt fitting is tight before you buy a new pump, the pump started leaking in my 951 and it turned out to just be the fitting, I torqued it down a little tighter and the leak stopped.

There is someone selling one for $25, IIRC it was on a facebook page called 'Porsche Parts 944 951 968" if you're over there. I believe it was used OEM
