Default What is this part?

This is a Clark's diagram thread link on late model cooling schematic:

http://www.clarks-garage.com/graphic...fan_late_1.jpg

However, the schematic for my 90 S2 is different, with an item called "Switch Intake, Pipe Cooling" in roughly the same diagram position as "Refrigerant Temp Switch" in above-linked schematic.

My schematic indicates that switch as closing at 42C, and drawing power from the wiper motor lead on the Central Electric panel, and connecting through a diode to the "Freezing Protection" switch in the dash A/C module.

Who can tell me what this switch does, and/or where it's located on the vehicle, and what it looks like? I can't find it on the parts diagrams, either.

Trying to resolve a nagging increase in coolant temp w/ A/C on. Cooling fans, switches and relays all work fine, and system is stable A/C off.
