When I did my rebuild 2 years ago, I used 263 which is Loctite's recommended replacement for 270. And as was said above, if you compare specs, they are very similar.

Note 263, in spite of its red color is different than what used to be referred to as red loctite which is 271 (as I recall), and is very difficult to remove.
