Getting set to do the brakes... What's the best brake cleaner to use that won't mess up the aluminum suspension parts?
Doing the '90 S2... Any tips, "while you're there's", etc. would be appreciated!
TIA

Do you use the green can or the red? I used one (or the other) to clean all the crap off my tranny when I had it out doing the clutch. Wound up with a powdery white coating all over it - looks like sh*t! Don't want the same results on my A-arms etc....

Brake Kleen with the red cap is what I use. Never had a problem with it. Also great for cleaning up the mess of oil I usually deposit BESIDE the oil filler

You can you straight Zylene. The same stuff as whats in the brake cleaners. The only thing that causes the oxidation is alkaline materials.
NOTE: Be carefull with that stuff though, it likes certain types of plastic and uncured paint.
