This is so weird and it just started happening last week. When I turn my ignition key off, the horn honks. Has this happened to anyone else and what did you do to fix it?

Probably horn cable is touching bare metal somewhere around the steering wheel hub.

I don't see how a wire touching the steering would ONLY set off the horn every time I turn the key off. Seems if it WERE a wire issue it would honk when going over bumps or turning one way or the other. I appreciate your thoughts, but I'm not about to start pulling apart the steering column or pull the steering wheel off even until I have something more concrete to go on.
If the horn is not supposed to work unless the key is on, then maybe there is something involving the ignition switch that is either sticking or something.
