Default Anyone replaced a coolant temperature sensor on a 951?

This is the closest to a "How to" that I could find:

I am going to do this too. It might be easiest with the intake off. Not really hard to do. Plus if you havnt already replace any other item under it as well. Like hoses worn items like hoses as well

On an NA you can reach it without removing the intake, can't say if that's true on a turbo. Be prepared for the connector to break off when you try to remove it, they are old and brittle. Once that happens, you have no choice but to finish the job.

Mine's a turbo. Assuming I have to remove the intake manifold, what other things should I replace while I'm in there?

For a turbo, no need to remove the intake to get to the temperature sensors (DME & Coolant). Just remove the airbox and reach in under the intake with an open end wrench.

You must have tiny hands a good dexterity! I can barely see it with the intake off with all the hoses in the way.

Here's what I got from Lindsey/Autometer (note the leftmost adapter in the clear plastic is the Lindsey adapter, apparently neither of the autometer adapters will fit on a 951).

Assuming the chain is correct, the (perhaps ridiculous) question is: "where is the actual sensor that determines the water/coolant temperature?"

I'm wondering if this setup just hooks into the existing temperature sensor (which is what I want to replace) or if the module that's second from the left (gold plug on the left side, black plastic on the right side) is indeed the temperature sensor?
