I love your optimism, but that sounds a bit more like "project week". ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Unless you have some experience on hand, I would really recommend breaking that up into a couple of sessions. Just doing the belts can be a bit of a task, in my opinion. Steering rack, motor mounts and ball joints on an early 944 works good as a group, tho, altho it will be a solid day of work.
You might also think about building an engine support that sits between the fenderwells, rather than using the hoist, as that will keep the front of the car and the floor area clear, so that you don't have to work around the hoist when you are under the car. I made mine out of some scrape 4x4 landscaping posts I have left over from "chores".
Regards,

If you were 5 hours closer. I tell you what if I can convince my wife I will drive from Dallas and help. I have done rack, ball joints, mounts and LOF. Never done the T-belt.
BTW not one bit of that work (excluding LOF) is any fun.

Hmmm. That's a pretty good idea. I need to get my diveway redone in a couple years and I may as well get the old one all oil stained before I replace it. Right now i can get 8 cars in the driveway and 2 in the garage. I may do a "project day" in a few years.

I really only plan on doing the Motor Mounts for this episode. I too might do a whole steering/supension/front end redo next.
I can bring over another floor jack, ramps, drop lights, tool chest and a REALLY BIG cooler(full)
Joe & Gina, how about ya'll, we can probably fit another one in here for something...

Scott, three of us have done belts once (thanks for your help - you know what I mean
). Unfortunately, Pete Laches, who has done another belt job on top of the one we did on his, has moved to Rhode Island to attend the Naval War College (we miss him already).
Anyhow, we should be OK. The rack is the one that concerns me. I've never done one on a 944. The only other one I've done was a royal PITA.
I'm looking forward to doing both. I'm going to have to do them both for my car.
Hope I can make this event.

Excellent!!!
If you want to come down Fri nite, your welcome to crash here for the 2 nights. Hell, you can even bring the dog, provided our 100 lb dobie dosen't eat it....
.....or it does't eat our cat ![EEK!](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
As far as what to bring.....I dunno, we got a list going on here. Check it and see if you remember anything special needed for these jobs.

Well, sounds like we're gonna have some fun! Does anyone have the "tool kit" for the belts? Tension gauge, flywheel lock, spanner wrench, (I have some long sections of tubing *un-torqing tool*).
By the way I hope nobody minds dogs as I have a few.

My rot is too big to ride in the car. I am actually thinking I may fly down. It is a little over 5 hours to drive if memory serves me. Should cost less than a hundred bucks on southwest to just fly. Not sure whether I will come fri. night or Sat morning.

Wow! That sounds like fun. I am settling in here in Rhode Island. In the initial steps of possibly setting up a belt day out here. Geo/Kevin...if push comes to shove and you need "the tools" let me know. I have them with me (don't leave home without em) and I could send them your way. I don't think I will need them until September.
I don't think the steering rack is too difficult, but you will need an alignment upon completion. Will be easier if the replacement rack has inner tie rods attached.
