Default Shaking on hard acceleration

Ok, one of those things that are quite annoying but not really show-stopping... my 951 gives a rather noticeable shake / vibration when accelerating hard; it doesn't seem to have anything to do with current speed, or rpms, just how deep I bury the loud pedal... with half throttle I can go all the way to redline and it's fine, but flooring it gives shakes about as soon as I'm getting proper 15psis of boost...

Butt sensor says it's coming from the rear, feels a bit like it's more on the right side than left but it's difficult to tell.

Ideas?

How would a bad tranny mount feel?

Thanks!!

Just a long shot here, but have you checked front A-arm balljoints.
I had pretty violent shake when weight transferred back. Steel ones with VW joints cured it.

My ball joints are good. If it was the ball joints, it would cause a shake in the steering wheel/front, not the back.

I would think so. Just a guess. I also like the tranny mount idea.

I have the same problem and have just finished inspecting (removed from veh) the axles and cv joints. No problems there. How do you check the trans mount?

Look up there and see if it's broken. I've seen broken ones before, but they were causing the g-box to make quite a racket back in there.

I'd check all mounts, front and rear.

I'd say to pull the CV joint and make sure that its not the problem. I had the same problem. Had the rear wheel bearings replaced and it didn't help, I thought that the frame was bent. I finally bought a used axle off of ebay and used the best parts from the 2 axles. My old outer cv had creaters in it. The car felt like new after that.

I have the EXACT same problem (feels like coming from right rear). I have had a passanger tell me he can feel it from the passanger side floorboard.

I have a new axle on the left side but the right side looks ok, I don't feel play in it nor hear any abnormal noise so I'm skeptical of the possibility of that axle being bad. I don't have any other ideas of what may be bad, however.

mine came from the right side and it was the right axle that was bad.

Hmmm.....I'll see if I can get some lift time this weekend and swap the axles side-side and see if that makes any difference.

Check the air pressure in your tires.
Worked for me.
