Ok, well when I put the Cayman wheels on the car, the left fender lip rubbed the tire when accelerating in a right turn. I put new tires on the wheels with a 1/8" less tire width and the problem went away. Putting 17MM spacers on the rear wheels would just bring that problem back. So, I guess the wheels have sufficient offset to give me nearly the same conditions as the flyer suggests.
