AC Compressor "manifold"?????
Let me start out by saying CRAP! I have to vent. OK, I am trying to hook AC back up on a '86 951. When I got the car, the compressor had been removed. This made it a little more challenging to figure our exactly what I needed, since I couldn't see how everything was installed originally. Well apparently I have learned that when you buy a rebuilt Denso compressor (part 471-0127) it doesn't come with the manifold where the hoses bolt on. Of course, the assumption is that you simply remove this off of your old compressor, which I don't have. Does anyone know how to get one of these manifolds? It seems like when I look at parts diagrams, they always show this as part of the compressor. I suppose I could try to find a damaged complete compressor, but since I'm putting in a new one, I thought it would be nice to have this piece new as well.
What a pain. I was trying to line everything up to get this job done this weekend and now this. Never fails!!!!!

manifold
I have a manifold, its just a piece of alumimum that seals agaisnst the port adapter and gives you connection ports for your hoses . That way they can make that compressor suit different applications. Comes with the 4 allen head screws and used port plate o-rings.

Ken, thanks for the quick reply. I think I'm going to revert back to "Plan A", which was to get the Kuehl compressor kit. Griffiths was temporarily out of stock, and I really wanted to get this job done this weekend, so I went with a Denso. As I look at everything, I think I would prefer to get the complete Griffiths kit. I'm afraid there will be other parts that I wind up missing as I go along, furthering my frustration.
