I am curious what everyone expects their gauges to read when everything is working properly in the car.
Temperature gauge
Volt gauge
Oil pressure gauge

S2 and 951:
Temperature gauge
Somewhere between the 1st and 2nd hash mark, depending on the point in the cooling cycle the car is in. Tends to creep higher with A/C on in hot weather.
Volt gauge
Right above the 1st mark after car has sat. If I drive it a long time, it creeps up to the middle.
Oil pressure gauge
Reads maximum when the car is cold. After warming up, it sits right around the 2 hash at idle. Right below the maximum at full throttle, a little lower at cruise, etc.
The early gauges on the '83 read a bit differently, but I believe you're looking for the late dash readings.

I've only had the S2 for a couple weeks but here's what I got:
Temp gauge-Just a hair over the second white line--needle at 8 o'clock
Oil pressure gauge-- about 4.5 at cruise and 3 at idle
Volts gauge-- with no accessories on about 13V+/-. I need a new voltage regulator so don't go by that. On my old car it was usually over 14V.

Temperature: just above first white bar (80 C) when warm, 2/3 way to second white bar (100 C) when hot and fans running on high, never goes higher. AC doesn't work, so I don't know how that affects things.
Voltage: Just below 14 V when cool, about 13-13.2 V when hot and fans running. I gained about a volt on the gauge when I cleaned my bell housing grounds last winter.
Oil Pressure: 4.5 bar when cold, 2.5 bar at idle when coming off the track at DE (hot.) Mobil 1 15W50. I gained at least 1/2 bar last winter when I did rod bearings, grounds and switched from 20W-50 dino oil; not sure which was the biggest contributor, probably rod bearings.
