Default Doing the rear main seal. Should I install new clutch?

When I get my car back from my mechanic I plan on taking a weekend and replacing my rear main seal. Thing is I have 10K on a new clutch, should I put a new 600 dollar clutch kit in?

If you only have 10K on the clutch it would be a waste of money to change it out. Make sure the pilot & throwout bearings are good. If your slave cylinder is original you may want to do that.

I would replace the disc. It is not 600 the fibre disc has absorbed some oil if it is wet at all... The metal from the flywheel and the pressure plate shouold be ok.. the cost of the disc is not all that much... MY 2 cents

Sorry for the thread hijack (well, slight excursion), but any suggestions on proper way to do the rear main and not have it leak. Haven't done it before, really don't want to do it twice.

You may also consider having your flywheel and pressure plate re-surfaced. All depends on how they look when you pull them out.
