Howdy..
Do original factory springs wear out?
If so, on what periodic average? (eg: every 12 years, 120,000)?

Will I need to reinforce my ball joints (factory orig, still tight) to compensate
fot the angle change on the alum control arm?

I suppose stock springs could sag over a long period of time with heavy usage. I am not aware of a set interval at which to change them but I would think it would be dependant on many factors. I've driven high mile 944s and they've rode fine with strut replacements.

Your suspension geometry won't be altered enough to cause damage to your ball joints, mine were perfect before and after. I was very happy with the springs, I just wanted to go stiffer and a little lower.

Did you ever measure ground-to-fender lip while you were running these springs?

No sorry, I do have some old video with 16" phonies on that might give you an idea of height if you're interested. In the pics posted with the turbo twists, the wheels are 18s with 235/40 tires up front.
