Default Dynamat

Looking for any section of Dynamat someone may have left over from a car project. It should be enough to replace the sound mat under the hood of my 944. Basically, 52" X 36". PM me if you have a piece. Thanks in advance.

Dynamat would fall off pretty quickly in that location. The adhesive isn't that great, especially since it'd be upside down.

Use a standard hood liner type of material...

I have my hood lined with something similar to dynamat for about 3 years now , never showed any sign of falling off ,it's like the day i've put it there. The problem however is that it's useless under the hood , these materials are made to block mostly vibrations and not medium to high frequencies , it makes almost any difference under the hood , at max it keeps your paint a little cooler. If you want to block some engine noise you need hood liner.

Thanks, guys. Great info I hadn't considered because I had no experience with it.
