924-Strange noise on startup
First time on the forum, so please be gentle.
I Have a 77 924 that has not run in a number of years.
Changed belts, fluids, spark plugs, dizzy cap, rotor, points, belts, filters and ave her a go at start up today.
No lusty firing up, just a weird clicking that seemed to come from around or below the distributor. Didn't seem like it wanted to turn over, no movements from the belts.
Any ideas????
Video link attached, rubbish resolution.

Hard to tell what's going on from your video...sounds like a clicking starter solenoid, which would support your visuals [no crank rotation/belt movement]. I suspect the solenoid is not engaging the starter motor after having sat idle for years.
Have you tried tapping/wrapping on the starter/solenoid with a heavy wrench/bar to unstick it?
How old is your battery? Sitting idle, you should see ~12.8v across the terminals. Even if it reads 12.0 to 12.6, your battery may no longer have the capacity to deliver the amperage required to turn the starter. If your battery reads <12v sitting idle, all bets are off.
