Default Parts for sale from 87 944 turbo

Just getting a feel for what kind of market is out there if I part out my 1987 944 Turbo almost 200k on it. I also have a freshly rebuilt transmission with a Guard torque biasing diff. in it. I would like to sell the car whole or either part it out. I have a Tial 35mm wastegate with SFR adapters, SFR MAF kit, freshly rebuilt 2.5L engine with knife edge crank, ported head, wheels and tires, and tan leather interior. Also thinking of selling my other 87 944 Turbo with 61k miles on it, I'm sure who ever saw it at the fest can tell you its in real nice shape. Just getting out of Porsches all together, can't afford them anymore. Just start posting what you need or what your offers are.

Ahh.. this one bit you good. I will tell you that you will take a serious hit on the '87 because you could not get it running, and it is not completly together. Wayne almost had to sell his a while back, and although he had something like $20k in new parts sitting in boxes, he got very low offers.

I'd hang in there, keep working on it, and sooner or later it will fire up. Then, sell it off if you are done with them.

Sad to hear.....

Thanks for the support guys! My uncle is going to bring the cars to the car auction this weekend if the weather is good. If the offers are good enough to at least pay off half my investment I will let it go. For the guys asking for part prices I will get back with you after the auction just in case it sells with those parts on it.

Anybody know anything about the Lexus SC400?

Yes, decent amount of power, very comfortable. But if you're worried about the cost of Porsche's then I'd steer clear of Lexus.

Just worried about the cost of keeping the thing running. I was told by several people that have owned these that they are the most reliable car they have ever owned. One of them has 250k and has only had a belt change, waterpump, and regular oil changes. Thats what I'm talking about!

Yea thats what I was referring to. I have quite a few friends with them and they've had certain problems with them. Plus when it comes time to fix the thing, hasta la vista wallet!!!
