I like the look of the old Blaupunkt in my car, it goes well with the look of the early interior. The cassette player didn't work on mine, so I wired up an aux input in its place, there's a switch in front of the ashtray that switches it between radio and aux.

The aux cable isn't usually on that side, when not in use it's hidden in the back.

I ended up purchasing the Jensen unit and am very pleased. It looks almost factory and the amber lights are a perfect match. I can't compare the quality of sound to anything really as I'm not a radio guru I just wanted something to play aux, and my car is extremely loud anyways

Ill try and get better pictures soon.

I bought Power Acoustic, it may be not very popular brand but it does have Bluetooth playback and phone connection, but doesn't have CD.
I'm very happy with unit looks good with dark interior.

Do a search on double DIN installs. Guys have done it but had to make some minor modifications like trimming out carpet, to get them to fit.

i went this route - mostly over form/not function (i can play tunes and adjust volume and the screen stays off which i love.

Also it's a model BT 952 HD

I'll probably just keep it around to put into a RHD car for irony's sake.

Amazon.com: Kenwood KDC-BT952HD Single-DIN In-Dash CD Receiver with Bluetooth: Electronics Amazon.com: Kenwood KDC-BT952HD Single-DIN In-Dash CD Receiver with Bluetooth: Electronics

It's clean. Simple. It loves my Reference series Infintys.

I have 2 blue gauges coming in that should match the head unit. I'll post pics when i finish.
