Back when I used to measure around a year ago I got around 19mpg mostly around town/a little highway. That was Steve R chips with the 3 bar fpr.

Totally stock 1986 944 with 173K miles. Mostly highway driving, but often in excess of 70 MPH. Some driving around town.

I consistently get 27-28 MPG.

I don't have any exact numbers but my MPG is as good if not better than what I get from my Toyota V6 and my wife's 4cyl Subaru Imprezza. For a car that packs so much power the fuel consumption is economical. Then again this will vary according to your driving habit. The harder you drive it the lower your MPG.

190k miles, chips, recent top-end rebuild with new cams, stock injectors, and I still get the same 27mpg highway and 22mpg street as it did brand new (I have a certificate with the original paperwork from Porsche where it documents the actual tested mpg for my car). I'd still like to replace/renew the injector seals and have them callibrated.

When I went on my trip to Colorado I kept the car cruising at about 75 MPH. At one point I believe I got close to 500 miles for one tank! What's that translate to in MPG? (Too lazy to do the math)

14 mpg with a bad O2 sensor, 22 mpg with it fixed. Mostly in town driving and addicted to boost. Huntley chips, downpipe, test pipe, 3" cat-back.

Original 944 S2 - 28mpg is my average for motorway and 35mpg was my best average whilst doing the 40 miles to work. Around town this drops to low 20's. 500 miles off a tank is easily possible. I think the tank is around 17 gallon, which means 500 / 17 ~ 30mpg.

On the last tank I averaged 23 MPG, which included a lot of highway miles at 85+ MPH.
