on the funny side I have been a LART (Luser Attitude Readjustment Tool, or "clue-by-four".)to some previous mods, 928 crowd, the LADA, and all the haters and competitors.

The LART classic is a 2x4 or other large billet of wood usable as a club, to be applied upside the head of spammers and other people who cause sysadmins more grief than just naturally goes with the job. Perennial debates rage on alt.sysadmin.recovery over what constitutes the truly effective LART; knobkerries, semiautomatic weapons, flamethrowers, and tactical nukes all have their partisans.

I love the 928 crowd.

the cars, not so much. even if you installed Constantine shaft, you can't hardly find one with a manual.

not the greatest attempt at a true GT car either imo...

hell, back in the day, the Cartech Mustang was almost as bad and 1/2 the dollars...

Lart has helped me several times including very recently with a wiper motor. Great knowledge, pricing, and service! He knows 944s. By his reply above you can see he is a gentlemen.

I'm aware of the long running battle with Mike. I've bought several items from him and picked them up as he is the next town over from me. Funny thing is I have never met Mike - only his parents - which is kind of weird.

I've heard of some bad experiences and witnessed some "testy" threads where Mike seems to get really defensive. Impressive stash in his little garage. Looks like 2-3 cars parted out lining the shelves.

When in doubt pay by PayPal as Lart suggests!

Well, I suppose we've all had a good laugh over this. I'd delete the entire thread if I could.

Folks, I'll be blunt. I really don't appreciate being threatened with LART. It's not hard. It's not even remotely hard. When folks respond to a simple question with a threat to hit you upside the head with a 2x4 it's a bit disconcerting. The response is predictable.

Tactical nukes are right out.

How much longer can we 928 dudes expect this? Does it count that I once beat the crap out of a 944 on an open road? That I've built a 931 Cup already? Really. This is completely out of hand. Someone mentioned that after 400+ posts to this forum I appeared to be a reasonably nice person. Would we all like to change that?

What are you people doing to your selves? Does this make you happy? Do you get a good giggle out of it? I certainly hope so because I don't. Who knows, maybe someday we'll meet on the track and we can hash it out there. I do this because it's my life. It's what I do. I used to do other things. I was one of those folks who built the internet (I worked for Al. That's a joke

Lart? Bad user name. s15Kev? Bad idea. To the rest of you? Oh well...
Dude, no one threatened you, you are the only one here who was misunderstandind and the only one who is still overreacting. Just drop it.
