About €0.90 per liter, which is why it cost me US$70 to fill up the other day, which is why the car only gets out on weekends, which is why if you could get this car over to the States you would probably feel a lot less guilty about driving it than I do here

On the other hand, at only 38K km, this car they're selling in France would make a good show car prospect in the States. Mine has 103K km!

Well, one to drive and one to put away and hoard for Pebble Beach when I'm 80 .

That's Fred's car.
He wants to replace it with a Boxster ...

A Boxster? If I had a car like that I may replace it with a Carrera GT, but Boxsters are pretty much a dime a dozen anymore. That's too rare of a car to let go.

Thom, how good friends are you with Fred? Maybe he'll give you a special deal and you can drive that baby down to the Costa Brava so I can see it!

Looks like it's in great condition. Are the wheels really magnesium? They look like the stock 7.5/9x16 cast alloy D90s.

Kudos to you, Pete. Unfortunately, many Porsche owners are not as sophisticated as yourself when it comes to owning cars. I've been asked when I'm moving "up" to a Boxster. Hey, they're great cars, no doubt but you're correct that they've made a hell of a lot more than 528 of them.

speaking of pebble beach, the homes there put all of our cars to share in terms of beauty... went out with the 928 crowd yesterday for a cruise from South Bay (SF Bay) to Pebble Beach for lunch - Devek Days.. here are some pics....

Thread

my car is three cars up on the left side

Gotta love those cars!

Also, I put in roughly USD25-26.00 when I fill the tank, of which I normally put in 61-64 litres max each time (~0.55€/l, on any given day)

Here in Finland it's over 1€/l, so we have to pay douple what you pay in the States

And it looks like my gas mileage is really suffering from track driving... last tank was something like 17.5l/100km or 13.5mpg (!!!)

1€/l is pretty close to €0,90/l anyway... it all sucks, but what is ironic is that people complain loudly when in goes above US$2.50/gal (or US$0,66/litre....!) What gall!

Luis- we know that you want a second Cabrio - Don't rub it in!!
("Km-0" was an interesting movie, not bad... btw)
