Custom or aftermarket rear bumper options
Hello all! I will be having some minor paintwork done to my car soon. I was thinking about doing something different with the rear bumper then. Mine is in good shape, but if I could get a more "updated" look without the blacks pads, I might go that way.
If I could get some info, and maybe pictures of what people have done, that would be great. In other words, please show off and tell me about your backends.

Any bumper other than the stock US/Canada unit and you'll lose the impact absorbing shocks.
Euro bumper has no shocks, AFAIK.
Just remove the pads and the body shop should be able to fill all the remaining holes.

944/924/968 Aftermarket Innovations No shocks, steel bar between glass bumper and body, then filled with fire retardant insulation foam. Fiberglass molded to body. Wasn't really a very difficult job to do. sorry, tried to post a 3/4 rear view pic, but it wouldn't upload.

Try here. http://www.fiberwerks.com/Fiberwerks_944.htm Looks like they don't have the exact one that I have anymore (I got it around 2002) but it looks similar to mine. I also have their front end on my car. It's all molded to the body as well. I also filled in the sidelights. Front fitment was pretty crappy. It took a lot of work to get it to fit correctly. The back one was actually pretty easy.
