Default Denver/Littleton wrenching help 5/24

I need to do the head gasket and remove the turbo (need to replace the coldside, but that's another day) from my 951. I already have the intake off, but I have never done the job before and would love a little help. I will meet any reasonable beer and food requests and am always happy to return the favor. Thanks!

Josh, I'm looking for people who know how to work on Porsche engines, not Chevy engines!

Josh just writes checks for Chevy engines Last time I went to help him work on it he had just finished putting out the fire in the engine bay

Okay....all joking aside. There isn't that much work to get the head off.

I'm not sure what I have going on that day but maybe I can help. I've had the head off mine but that was nearly 7 years ago.

Ha. My time is more valuable doing other things. I also can't afford to F up my fingers/hands. Some stuff I'm willing to do, other things are either A: Not worth my time to do or B: Beyond what I care to do or C: Beyond my abilities to do

Mike, how about I just come over, eat all the food, drink all the beer and make snide comments while I supervise everyone else?

Ha.....I'm already ahead of you on the snide comments

Maybe we can sit there like the old guys in the muppets and just heckle!

Cole I have an old couch in my garage, we could put it up on some jack stands and it would be just like your in the balcony like the old guys. I probably don't need real help anyway. If you guys can just heckle me every time I do something wrong it should keep me on track. Nothing quite like good old negative feedback to get a job done right.

I'm at 7644 W. Ontario Pl., Littleton 80128
Cole can you make it? I know it's a bit of a drive for you, but I'll fire up the smoker and make some ribs or something.

I'm not sure how long it takes to get the head off and back on. The intake is off and coolant drained and we don't have to get the intake back on since I'll still have work to do on the turbo (need to remove it too). If I'm working on the car on my own I usually figure 4 times what a competent person takes to do the job. My hope is that with combined ignorance we can screw the job up much quicker than I can on my own. Anyway, I think my goal is pretty reasonable, so I'm open to sugestions on start time.

Still happy to have other help, too and still taking beer requests!

Kinda a bad weekend for a group wrenching party. Lots of family and friends events to go to!
