john if he doesnt want the 924 cgt front let me know i may be interested
Dan, I'm not sure if it will fit a 951. I bought it when I had my NA, but sold the car before I installed it.

Maybe the guys at the shop can make it fit, if it doesn’t line up perfectly.

If your still interested let me know, or just PM me.

Hey, lemme check and see if I can stay in stock with that nose. If I can, I'll be very interested.

Where is most of the sound deading material? I haven't done anything in this area as I'm not sure about its legality as well. Is it mostly under the front seats and surrounding area? It doesn't seem like there'd be alot next to the rear seats.

I'm thinking about ditching the hatch carpet all together. Apparently that doesn't push me out of stock. So maybe removing the sound deadening won't either.

It's just about everywhere under the carpet.

Ken, Sound deadening is definetely illegal.

If you really want to push it you can pull the deadening and put the carpet back over it...they'll never know.

Well shoot, it doesn't look like I get to do anything. They're pretty strict on the bumper. It's all yours Dan, if you can convince them to get it. I believe the stock bumper and spoiler probably weigh in around 60lbs. According the the GT Racing site, that piece is 6lbs. So it's a good chunk of weight for not that much money. Just trying to give you ammo.

I guess I'll stick with my current plan which is save up until I can afford the Elise! (It's coming next April!!! )

How much does the rear bumper weigh vs. the GT-racing piece?

Not that I want to take anymore weight off the rear and throw off the weight distribution any further...

Oh, and next to the rear seats there is indeed a standard slab of sound deadening... I'll bring it to the next autocross if you like.

When we stripped this car we saved as much of the junk we sweeped up at the end of the day and at the end we got a little over 100#!

As promised here are some early pics when she was REALLY stripped on our rotisserie and now where she is (waiting for my Boxster to get finished and hit the track so I have more time). As you can see you have to get really extreme to get the weight down this far. I also took a pic of some custom rear suspension stuff we did, can you tell what has been done? There are some Boxster pics there to so you guys can see what an 1775# car looks like! Have fun!
