Looking for some thoughts on what the issue could be with my speedometer. At speed, it ticks loudly but maintains the speed accurately. I recently had to replace the speedometer cable as it was squeaking loudly and then the cable ended up breaking shortly after. Before the cable broke, when the speedometer would tick, it would drop 5mph in speed. With the new cable, the speed doesn't really drop, so much as the thing ticks like a loud watch.
