Default Engine Oil Light

Wondering if any geniuses can help me out!

When I start my 87 N/A from cold (ie sitting overnight or more than 30~45 mins) everything is fine and no idiot lights are lit.

When I re-start the car after a short trip (ie. running out to Subway for lunch) immediately the Engine Oil Light comes on and stays on. I rememeber reading in the manual that the "computer" has a memory and keeps the light on.

The oil level is good on the dipstick.

Any ideas?

Top the oil off anyway? My oil light likes to come on even when the oil is midway between the marks on the dipstick...

I had this problem, cleaned my pressure sender and it solved the problem. I also got a higher overall reading on the presure gauge. May/may not be your problem, but it helped me.
