if you die in a torque tube car (a rigid, unibody car), your death will most-likely be very similar to what happened to Dale Earnhardt.
by the time you get cut up by a fabbed up door panel. your head will have already come/flung/sailed clean off.
just like what happened in that 968 fatal in California a few years ago.
and if not that, then it'll be in a fire - after you've already severed your vertebrae, you're in your final moments of life,
you can't move, or breathe -- and you ain't comin' out anyway.

Its not about death in the car or severe crashes, its about a light crash that damages the door and cracks the door card with sharp edges towards your face/neck.
I would not use fiberglass....maybe heat moulded plastic, not so rigid...maybe polypropylene...not sure it can be heat moulded from a sheet tho.

Fiberglass rattles and vibrates, it cracks with sharp edges, think about safety before calling chicken**** on these cars !
Not to mention its feels rubbish to look at and touch...and if you knock your keys on it when you get out of the car, it sounds like a chinese POS toy.
Say you had a small accident, door gets busted and you get out with a face full of fiberglass...will the stock panels be ok then?

get the cheap plastic out of the conversation.
I wouldn't even sell that garbage to someone who voted for Obama....
and in a bad crash, involving a Kevlar/epoxy panel, your head will be bashed in proper....
like a baseball bat takes to watermelon. no cuts. scouts honor.

Lol, they just have more disposable income than us so the stores take advantage of that. They earn more than us, they never work for just tips, they don't need to save for college or retirement, they don't have to pay for doctor, hospital visits or operations, they collect good money for being unemployed... I could go on.

Probably, but we're no better. There are more bankrupt states than there are bankrupt countries in Europe. It's just we just borrow more from China to keep our states going. The EU (United States of Europe) isn't so free with its borrowing or handing out its money.
How did we get here from interior panels? Back on topic...continue.

I would be interested in a fiberglass replacement for the fiberboard part of the door panel. If the fiberglass panel was shaped/molded exactly like the fiberboard, then all of the plastic, vinyl, leather, etc. bits that make up the rest of the panel could be installed onto the fiberglass panel, and it would be more durable and reliable.
