Default Instrument lights on (brake pad and seat belt)

So both my brake pad light and fasten seat belt light are constantly on when the car is started.

Visual inspection of the brake pads shows lots of pad left. Maybe the problem is a sensor?

The seatbelt light I'm not sure about, but I was thinking maybe it's the contact inside the latch side that's not functioning properly?

Any help to remedy these annoying lights in the cluster is appreciated.

I had a brake pad light on too. Even after all the sensors and pads were replaced the light was still on. After further inspection I found a cracked sensor wire I traced up almost into the engine compartment.

Is the light for all 4 wheels or just the fronts?

Those kinds of owners make me wonder what else they've done to the car that I haven't found yet...

Try DetoxIt and spray it on all the plugs and connectors in the circuits.

Otherwise get the Electrical Circuits for your MY car and trace out the circuits and clean up all the plugs, connectors, pins, fuses and earth points.

If you have an airbag, it is possible that there is an error there.

Here is the reset or here you can read the codes.

I know some asshat before me removed the airbag light...

Other than that, check your grounds?

I haven't seen detoxit but I haven't ever looked for it either. I'll keep an eye out.

Thanks for the suggestions regarding the air bag reset. I'll look into that as well.
