944 S Fuel Lines
After searching extensively in this forum (and google) for a DIY specific to the "S", I have come up dry. I am ready to pull the trigger on some Lindsey Racing Fuel Lines for my 87 S (85k mi), but I can not find any information or replacement for the fuel damper lines. Are the Fuel Damper lines on the S2 compatible with the S? Are the ones for the 968 compatible? It seems like they both have a different dampers.
Thanks in advance.

I can't answer the damper line question, but I remember seeing a DIY write up for fuel lines in the 951 tech section that may apply to your situation. It's fairly recent so within the last 2 weeks to a month time frame.
I have the Lindsey lines on both my S2 cabs and I while I would consider myself somewhat of a DIY'er that's one thing I didn't want to do.

What problem are you trying to solve? Hard to recommend a solution without knowing. (I drive a 944S)

Are the Fuel Lines and Damper the same on the S, S2, (EDITED, 968s don't have dampers **TIL)
Have looked on Lindsey Racing, Pelican, Ian's, and others; and none listed for the S... suggestions?
I am thinking about replacing more of system (including the rail) while I'm doing this, as it seems the fuel rail is just as likely to fail.

I did the LR lines on my S and have been happy with them, the damper lines on the front of the rail were replaced a little bit before I bought the car so I haven't replaced them. When I went looking I didn't see any aftermarket replacements for these. I figured I would have them made at a hydraulic line shop if I needed to do them. IIRC they are still available from Porsche as well.
If you get a 968 fuel rail you eliminate the damper, and don't have worry about it. The LR rail also gets rid of the lines. Be careful with your fuel rail if you pull it, DO NOT use the bolts into the intake to seat the rail on the injectors, the intake is magnesium and you will strip the threads that way. Always seat it fully by hand, then put the bolts in.

Understand that the LR rail eliminates the Damper, does this have any (adverse) effects on the rest of the system?

The S dampener lines are different from the S2 ones.
I did go to 968 fuel rail on my track S2 motor and have no issues at all.
If you want to go with the OEM replacement for fuel dampener and main lines let me know as I have some brand new ones available.
