Default Tire time!

I've got a set of bf goodrich gforce kdw t/a's on there and they SUCK! I put less than 10k miles on them before they needed to be replaced. It's all because of the way I drive the car, but I expected them to hold up a little bit longer than that.

So it's new tire time again.. what's the hot item this year? My limit is about $150 a piece and I need them to last longer than 10k miles.

I take the car to autocrosses and drive it pretty hard everywhere I go. Both rear tires are bald and the fronts are worn around the edges.

Uhh...my front KDW's lasted for a good 13-14k miles with 10-15 autocrosses on em...2 drivers. They weren't worn, but the edges had huge 3" long chunks missing.

The rears lasted till 16-17k miles before they should have been replaced...

the tires suck because you only got 10k miles out of them?

I am very pleased with my new Yoko ES100s. But i have only used them on the street. Only $400 for all four installed.

I am VERY pleased with my new Goodyear F1 DS G3! Great traction and cornering, coupled to a great ride and hardly any
road noise. A bit more expensive but the treadwear is rated at 280.

I don't know if production has slowed or the tires have become more in demand; TireRack has had two small
price increases since I purchased mine.

Kuhmo Ecsta MX. Much better than their Supra 712's. A bit noisy, but inexpensive and sticky.

Ski, F1's rule!! I used to be a firm believer in Michelin Pilot Sports, but now I've seen the light...
