Default Will I fit in a Sparco Evo 2?

I'm 6'2" and heavy framed. I need to position the shoulder harnesses 26" or more from the cushion. I'm slim, but the problem with the few seats I've tried is that they pinch my hip bones. Even the stock sport seats are too narrow for my ladylike hips so I'm slightly sitting on the steel frame in the side bolsters.

Would I be pushing it with the EVO2?

(PS: please don't tell me to sit in various seats to se if they fit, I would have to go abroad to do that )

It's a close call.I'm 6"2" and 230 and it is uncomfortably tight for me.Unfortunately you really do have to sit in one.Go to car shows and meets and look for a car that has one.Ask him to sit in it. Quite a popular seat so you hopefully can find one somewhere.

Cheers,

Have you sat in any seats that fit you better? If so which ones?

There really is little hope of me sitting in one before buying. The best I can do is probably to buy one and hope to sell it on if it does not fit. But it sounds too tight. I'm 220lbs.

I'm 6'3" 225 lbs and i fit very nicely in my Sparco Evo 3. If I was racing I'd want a tighter fit but for driving to the track and lapping it's fine. It is a very tight fit mounting it in my '84 though.

What year and model is your car? If it still has full interior, the Evo 3 will be a tight fit especially in a 986/996 and up car.

The current Evo 2 (2012 and newer) is what used to be called the Evo 2 Plus, which is taller than the traditional Evo 2, which over here at least is now called the Evo 2 U.S. You said you are 6'2''. Are you long in the torso, or legs. If long torso, than the Evo 2 (U.S.) may be too short and your shoulders will cover the openings for the shoulder belts.

Kind regards,

Thanks guys. The car is a 1990 Turbo. It has full interior. My torso is longish. I cover the harness holes in the few seats I've seen so far. I sat in a Sparco Ergo 2 and measured 66cm (26") from the seat cushion to my shoulders.

What about other makes such as OMP or Recaro?
