Unhappy Tire help

Hi Guys,
I have a 944 S2 Cab, which I've had for about a year now and absolutely LOVE!
However I had a slight problem this morning when I went to get my registration and failed because my tires were too worn.
They are 17" Pirelli p6000s and as far as I know were put on the car new when I bought it one year ago. I've done around 15,000kms (is that about 7,000miles?) in the past year, doing daily driving plus a couple of trips up the coast, nothing out of the ordinary.

Does this seem unusual to anyone, or would that be how long I'd expect the tires to last!?

Any help is much appreciated!!

Thanks guys!!

Mine were just put on by the previous owner before I bought the car. I am just approaching 4,000 miles since owning it, and although I am fine up front, the camber in the rear has the entire inside of my tire almost completely bald. I do not drive very aggressively, but at the same time the tires are only Sumitomo brand - they seem to be the cheapest ones in my tire size.

I get 70,000 miles out of my rears alone...

Your right foot is too heavy! Just kidding - look for uneven wear - this would indicate aligment problems. 20,000km of spirited drivig for rears is about right.

Cool, thanks for the tips guys.
I went down to the mechanic and he said it was pretty normal, and yeah, gotta get some new ones!

Thanks again!

''I've done around 15,000kms (is that about 7,000miles?)''

Macca4 - just so you know;

15,000 km = 9322 miles.

Conversion formula: 1 mile = 1.609km

PS: I know it's a typo error but you made me chuckle - even Porsches don't do 15,000kms (kilometers per second?) ...

If the wear is uneven (as said above) it's your alignment. A few degrees of camber will toast the insides.
Also, according to tirerack, your tires have a 180 treadware! That means they won't last long, but they probably have awesome grip.
Go with a longer lasting tire if you don't drive competitively.
