Default Fitting Spacers or Changing Offset - Alignment Needed?

I understand that just changing wheel width on the same offset doesn't change anything. However when you fit spacers or change to a different offset wheel you are changing the track. Is an alignment necessary for a change in track?

No, track doesn't affect alignment.

Ok thanks Eric. What does it affect though?

If you increase the track say 2in overall, won't it leverage more on the springs and sway bar? Do you need to increase camber to allow for the greater track?

Increasing track will reduce the suspension motion ratio and wheel rate. Front motion rate = 0.94, wheel rate 0.88. A 10mm spacer on the front might drop the wheel to about 0.85, thus reducing the effective spring (wheel) rate slightly.
