Default Oil cooler housing difference.

Just want to know the difference between the 87+ late turbo housing and 86 - early turbo housing. I know for the oprv but are the housing the same ? Could I use the late housing with early oprv on a 1983 to 1986 engine ?

Thank

IIRC there is a difference in a metal sleeve in the block for the housing. Earlier blocks have a removable sleeve with o-rings, and the later cars have a sleeve/dowel fixed into the block...could be wrong though.

I used an early housing on a late block and had to shim the OPRV to seal.

Early on left carries casting number "0R", late on right, number ending "2R"
