he also showed a 996 turning a better lap than a motorcycle on a track.... i believe he hates motorcycles more than he hates german cars
no matter how much he doesnt like it he is always giving props to german cars, (btw 944 was in his top 100 too). there is even a video of him destroying a hyundai in an equally amusing manner.
he is very cool.

Guys... come on...
He actually loves 944 turbos! When he wrote the book about his favorite 100 supercars, as you opened the page under P for Porsche the text went something like this; no don't turn the page you ain't gonna find it here. No, 911 has not made it to the top 100 but this jem 944 turbo did which is by far the best car that left the Stuttgart's factory. He than continued praising the turbo punch, the driving position, handling etc. He just hates 911's. Also I know him personally he is a great dude so give a guy some credit!
PS. Jeremy if you ever come across this post you owe me a drink for seting the record straight and putting in a good word for you. Also be careful about Porsche mocking from now on, he,he...

Jeremy Clarkson is the biggest "car" celebrity in Britain and has been known to affect sales of new models. He's a love/hate thing for different people for sure but he has a fantastic sense of humour (at least, IMO) - very dry and cynical. I think several years ago he won an award for "worst dressed man in Britain"
He started out years ago writing humorous adticles for a magazine called "Performance Car" and has never looked back since.
I haven't downloaded the clip above but recognise all of the comments as coming from his second video (can't remember the name but it might be "Jeremy Clarkson - the most Outrageous video ..."). Basically, each video has a similar format - stunts, spills, recking cars he doesn't like in different ways (Nissan Sunny via a Trebuchant and a Yugo being shot and run over by a Chieftan tank springs to mind) with the highlight being the testing of serious performance cars on the track and then back to back. His commentary on all of the action is great ...
The Porsche wrecking stems from something that goes back a long way - that of a friendly TV-only war between himself (Jaguar and Ferrari fan) and Tiff Nidell (racing driver most notably Le Mans) who is a big BMW / Porsche fan. Since most of his watchers know this, he plays a little on it ...
Frankly, being a pianist myself, I felt most agrieved when the piano was dropped from the crane!
Regards,
Gary.
