Default Is the backing of the 944/951 rear seats wood or metal?

I took my seats out to put in a rollcage but now found that I need rear seats and may want to get a set.

However I noticed the back metal only comes up to the small of the back which could be horrible if the car got rear ended if the seat backing was wood. If it was metal however I'd feel more comfortable putting someone back there.

Couldn't find any pictures of the backing, anyone know?

The seat backs are a very lightweight plywood over a wood frame with metal reinforcements at the edges and hinges. The wood piece at the bottom is an extension I added for a rear seat delete project. Personally I don't think the wood would be an issue in a rear end accident unless you were hauling a transaxle or loose anvils in the hatch, it's actually pretty stout.
