Whoa the engine compartment looks amazing. Did you clean it up to look like that? Does it still look like that!? Do you suspect the engine or transmission will need anything in the next 30k?

Also, what's the tread life on the tires?

Funny we are doing this in the open but why not. Nothing to hide.

Besides the obvious damage on the Turbo he says: "The car is pretty modified. Improved fuel flow, boost runs at 11psi, aftermarket wastegate. It has no cat, so it wont pass emissions. You can put one on for about $400." That is why I wouldnt buy that car. If the dropped to around $4k then, meh, maybe. If it wasnt "beat up" like Cole said, why is it still for sale?

The S that Chris is selling is a pretty nice car for the price. Just FYI.

The car is running on winter tires right now, so you would want some fresh all seasons/summers come spring. The engine compartment still looks like that, i repainted the magnesium intake and valve cover and did the Guards red lettering.

Engine and trans should be good to go, the transaxle has redline mt-90 in it, it makes more whine noise since i put the semi solid mount in it. I would not expect to do anything more than the belts in the next 30k, the rollers were replaced when i got the car 2 years ago with the belts, if your paranoid about the belt you would want to do them next year.

I can do the belts before you buy it if you want, i have all the tools needed for it and it won't take me super long.

Why is the extremely original and clean one for $8k listed above still for sale?

Sometimes it's not the price, or the condition! Sometimes there just isn't a buyer looking for a particular car! Or the buyer isn't in Colorado. Or in the case of the $8k one, the buyer is in Colorado!

Could be that the right buyer just hasn't checked the Denver Criagslist. Sometimes cars are simply victim to poor advertising or buyers with poor search skills!

This is the picture from the 951 ad in Denver!

Sport seats sell for upwards of $2k used! So its a nice add on with the car!

Have to consider all these things with the purchase. Turbos got a lot of desirable upgrades over a NA 944 besides just more power!

I've also told people who came to look at it that I couldn't bring myself to sell it. Its too good to give up LOL... But I finally bought a Cayman S so... :P

If you could show me how I'd bring a 6 pack (or 12).

You seem to be in the Denver area. Come by the "Porsche Breakfast Club" Saturday for breakfast! 8:30 at the Village Inn I25/Colorado Blvd!

No way. I've seen really nice ones for $600, and pristine or refinished perfect ones for ~$1k. I picked up my early manual sport seats (in need of recovering but all there and decent condition) for $100.

Sure, deals can be had but that isn't the norm.

After looking for about six months I found a deal on some trashed power heated ones for $600. Meanwhile DocWyte sold his for $1800!

It's all what is available and when. But......truly.....if you had actually read my post I said "upwarsds of $2k". Not "starting at or around" and I didn't put any lower limit on deals to be found!

Edit: cheapest pair currently listed on ebay is $975 shipped! Most are between $1500-2000

Haha......or these for only $10k and free shipping

Wow, I stand corrected... I suppose I haven't looked around too much at market for them, the prices I posted above are what I've seen.
