The Fest is traditionally scheduled one week before the NOR PCA Event at Mid-Ohio. I encouraged participants to come to the fest AND the DE, but only the usual crowd did both. We had 2 garages at Mid-Ohio with 4 944 Turbos in various run groups. If you've ever done a weekend DE, you know there isn't enough time in one weekend for all the fest activities AND two days at the track.. they add up to two very full weekends.

hmm, no not that, i wholeheartedly agree on O Fortuna's greatness though, the one i'm talking about STARTS at 3:12 and goes on until around 5:45 or so

is it really a longer different version of O Fortuna or a different song?

Thanks for the motivation.. Would you like to hear my progress and holdups on the tape.. I'll try to make the long story short.. New audio card to cure hiccups, then new vid card ($$) with all the goodies to cure OTHER hiccups,.. I should be set now..Oh yea, restart it all in XP (shoulda done THAT long ago) Now I've got some great captures and ideas,..but the AUDIO decision is tough for me.. Maybe I'll just rip the track from vid #1, that was awesome.. :::MUST resist Ferris Beuller dance mix:: Someone suggested German rock bands.. Hmmm... got me there.. And what to include, just 944Fest clips or 944 vid clips from other sources, such as in-car various angle fast lap vids, and clips of Chip oval racing his 951.. That really doesn't qualify as "FEST" footage. Maybe I need to make TWO vids.. Yea, that'll ever happen...when the browns win the Superbowl.. Some of this cut and paste vid editing software is a piece of cake. The test clips look great running together, but the file is 100,000 KMB (?)
Anyway, all of my captures in decent resolutions are HUGE friggin files.
All this and my wife is 7 days past her delivery due date. I'm really looking forward to a 100+ MPH run to the hospital in the Porsche with a woman in active labor... No cop would ever arrest me! (see similar post)

Please consider the time (1am) of this post. Sorry for the ...............

as far as interesting car video music - here's a few ideas to sample:
-The Propellorheads - spybreak & her majesty's secret service - they're good "james bond"-y driving songs
-i always liked linkin park's "in the end" for a driving video, probably because of that WRC video that's out there mixed to that
