I'm noticing some symptoms associated with a bad O2 sensor, and I have a AC Delco sensor (single wire output) new in package. The alternative is the expensive OEM or Bosch part.
If I splice the connector from the old sensor to the new one, will it work just as well? I just don't know if the AC Delco universal sensor supplies the same reading that the DME requires.
All narrowband o2 sensors supply a 0-1 volt signal that corresponds to a lambda value in a roughly linear fashion. I would think if you spliced it in, it would work just fine.

Excellent, thanks Doug. That'll be later this afternoon hopefully
