No search! Window water spots
I know this was just covered not too long ago, but without the search, I don't have the time to check all the back pages. Anyways, the PVGP is this Saturday, so I washed the car last Sunday, however, I have some water spots on the windows--how can I remove them? I tried the auto-glass cleaners, and they didn't work, and I don't have the time to re-wash the entire car, so any help? Please, I want my car to be nice and shiny.

Try a little vinegar, dilute 1 cup to half a gallon of water, and use a scrunched up piece of newspaper (don't ask me why, does streak free every time).
Good luck!

The newspaper glass cleaning trick works due to the ink coating the glass in a thin film.
These days the water marks may be there for good. If you get a nasty acid rain it can etch the glass. Then you need to polish the glass out.

The glass may well be etched in which case there is little you can do. One other glass cleaning trick is to use 000 or 0000 steel wool. Glass is harder than steel wool so don't worry about scratches, the steel wool will remove deposits and grime very well, finsih up with newspaper and stoner's glass cleaner (or other alcohol based cleaner) I think they work better than amonia based when used with newspaper.
