It that was my only concern I wouldn't have bought a stable of 944's. If its one thing 944 owners need its time & money

I may not agree, depending on your goal. This one (2.8L) made 330hp on the engine dyno and was a killer car in PCA Club racing for many years. Just another perspective...

Sweet, I had considered doing a carb swap but my method was more simple.... Blow thru carb and a custom intake manifold running a four barrel. I decided it was too much money to play with by the time it was done I could do a carb v8 swap

So, does anyone know where one of those manifolds might be had? My take on it is the reliability. Joel

I am going to put four Dellorto DRLA 48 carbs on my "small" 6L 928 2-valve V8 engine. See posts #22, 26, 28, 29 and 35.

i started reading hot rod magazine and came back to this thread...chop a 944 manifold and find a spot for the square carb pad, throw a junkyard 300cfm carb on and see what happens

If I had only known what this thread would start ahead of time...

I love all the carb'd things.
