I may not agree, depending on your goal. This one (2.8L) made 330hp on the engine dyno and was a killer car in PCA Club racing for many years. Just another perspective...

Sweet, I had considered doing a carb swap but my method was more simple.... Blow thru carb and a custom intake manifold running a four barrel. I decided it was too much money to play with by the time it was done I could do a carb v8 swap

i started reading hot rod magazine and came back to this thread...chop a 944 manifold and find a spot for the square carb pad, throw a junkyard 300cfm carb on and see what happens
