My S2 is going to need a new A-Arm, it has a bit of play and needs replacing before my next DE.
What years can I use? I have seen some for sale in the rennlist classifieds, but I am not sure if my A-Arm is specific to the Turbo & S2 cars with ABS or if any A-Arm for the 85.5 model and newer will work.
Thanks.

Go look at the Suspension Section of The 944 FAQ.
These parts are good for moderate competition. (Time trials etc.)
951 341 027 32 L/S Competition version arm (slotted groove on side of ball joint)
951 341 028 32 R/S Competition version arm

Thanks everybody for the responses, except Keith
(just kidding), but I have now another question:
Are the standard A-arms on the 951 the same as the ones referred to in the 944 FAQ as "competition A-arms" or are they special order items? I do not really remember seeing them in my catalogues, but then again I did not know what to look for.
I definitely want to go the competition A-arm route since I am planning on attending several DE events a year.
I agree that used are a risk, and not my first choice, but the Minister of Finance is not always understanding about my passion and insists on doing things like upgrading the house.
Thanks.

More info on front control arms (A-arms):
I've found no other reference to verify the current existence of "competition arms" as stated in a letter from Alwin Springer located in the 944 FAQ. The part numbers were: 951.341.027.32 and 951.341.028.32.
Conjecture:
Here's some pics to go with the explanation:

Conjecture:
- Steel arms are very cheap, and, can be retrofitted to 85.5-86 944's. The advantage being the affordablility and ease of ball-joint replacement. Blaszak Precision markets a custom reinforced version of the steel arm for 83-86 944 race applications.
- Rebuilt Aluminum arms can be found for as little as $150, though these are NOT recommended for use in extended track applications.
- New OE Porsche aluminum arms for non-M758/M030 cars can be found at dealers and select others for ~$450-600
- New OE Porsche aluminum arms for M758/M030 cars can be found at dealers and select others for ~$750
- Aftermarket Race application A-arms go for ~$1600/set. These billet aluminum pieces feature stronger overall construction, replaceable/servicable ball-joints, spherical cross-member bushing, and spherical caster eccentric bushing (optional). They are direct bolt-on for 85.5-86 and 87-95 944/968 cars, and could easily be applied to 83-85.1 944's as well.
Here's some pics to go with the explanation:
- Early Steel Arm -
- Late Aluminum Arm -
- Aftermarket Arm -
